Monday Morning Updates!

The Mountain View Toro Country Classic invitation is up and ready for registration.  The Classic is on November 4-5 and will feature NIETOC bids, as well as a Congressional Debate Supersession. 

The Glendale Community College tournament is this weekend.  Make sure to read the invitation if you are planning on going.  This tournament is a bit different from what we are used to.

The DV Desert Sun Invitational is in a few weeks, and will feature debate TOC bids. 

Results have been posted for the Southwest Speech and Debate Institute Tournament.  Make sure to get those points entered into NFL to get your team started on the right foot this year.


Calendar Updates!

Thank you to everyone who attended the FLA Convention and Tournament last weekend.  It was wonderful to see so many new faces and so many students already preparing for the season.  Minutes will be posted when Kevin returns from the NFHS meetings in Indianapolis.  If you didn’t fill out a survey at the tournament, send your thoughts to Susan Seep.

Tournament Invitations are up!

The first Invitations for the 2011/2012 year are posted.  The Coaches Convention and Practice Tournament will be held on September 17.  The Southwest Speech and Debate Institute Tournament will be held on September 23-24.  The Desert Sun Invitational at Desert Vista will be held on October 14-15.  Make sure to read the tournament invitations carefully.  The Desert Sun Invitational has changed to a Debate/Congress only tournament.

9/11 Memorial Opportunity

Dear Community:

   I’m not attempting to make a political statement, but I just wanted to let you know that on Sunday, 9/11, there will be a reading of names at Tempe Beach Park.  This would be a chance to use our unique abilities to do something to remember the victims of 9/11.
